Our cast aluminum THUNDERBIRD air filters feature the exact same emblem as is found on the 1957 FORD aluminum Y-Block 312 valve covers. The air filter carries the part number "ECZ-9600-S" cast into the backside of the top plate. They feature the same manufacturing techniques used back in the 50s...traditional hand fabricated, sand cast aluminum parts. This way, they are a perfect match to the rest of the parts on your 50s FORD. These filters are not a mass produced item made in China...they are very expensive to manufacture. The air filters come complete with an 'as cast' top plate (polishing is available for an additional cost), aluminum base plate and an industry standard and commonly available paper filter element.
